Redl Sports Distributor was established in 1954. In 1970 the McCallum family took ownership of Redl and have been operating the company ever since. Three years later Redl launched its first proprietary fishing rod, reel and apparel line, the Trophy XL, and later expanded to include the Dragonfly and Angler product groups.
