Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
Duncan
Salmon Fishing continues to be good in many Areas of 17 & 18. Peak mid-island summer fishing is here. Slot sizes continue but we've seen many impressive 70-80" Chinook being caught in Sansum Narrows and Porlier Pass being the hotspots. The top producing gear are Blue Brain Freeze Gibbs Highliner Flashers paired with Gold Nugget Skinny Gs. Black Flashers are still doing great fished with Herring Aid/Green and Silver lures. Coho Fishing is Starting to pick up and will continue to get better as more fish start moving through.
Local Bass Fishing continues to be super hot. Topwater Bass is excellent right now. Crush City Pig Sticks are a consistent producer of big Bass. We have a great selection of both topwater and soft plastic baits.
Local shore fishing for Salmon is starting to pick up. We're seeing Chinook being caught at Rocky Point in Nanaimo and Beechey Head in Sooke. 3" Buzzbombs, Spinnows and Zzingers are great for shore casting in Holographic Colors. If you're shore fishing for Pink Salmon make sure to use pink lures. "Pink for Pinks"

Nanaimo
Chinook fishing has been good around Entrance Island, with Gold reflective flashers being one of the most popular choices. Gold Nugget Skinny G spoons and white Luhr Jensen Flash Fly Hoochies have also been producing well.
Freshwater Bass fishing has been particularly good using imitation worms. Trout fishing in local stocked lakes has also been productive, with PowerBait and Dew Worms producing consistent results.
Squid fishing from the Pier has been fantastic, with lots of anglers heading out after dark and finding good success.
Courtenay
Saltwater fishing remains strong in Area 13 (Campbell River) and Area 14 (Courtenay). Coho continue to be abundant higher in the water column, while Chinook are following their usual pattern for this time of year and holding closer to the bottom.
August 1st brought an end to some Chinook non-retention areas; however, the 62 cm to 80 cm slot limit with a daily limit of one Chinook remains in effect. Coho retention also remains unchanged at two hatchery-marked fish per day.
Anglers targeting Chinook near the upper end of the slot limit have been having success with large, heavy-glow plugs, including the 6" Tomic 602 and 6" WCFT Herring Aid. Be prepared to measure your fish, as there are plenty of oversized Chinook around.
Just about everything seems to be working for Coho right now, with Luhr Jensen Flash Flies and Skinny G spoons being a couple of the standout producers.
Pink salmon have arrived along the beaches in solid numbers, with the cooler mornings bringing schools very close to shore. The key right now is to get out bright and early, before the water warms and increased angler activity pushes the schools farther out. Beach fishing should become more forgiving as the season progresses and the schools increase in size.
Many Pinks have also begun their journey up the Campbell River, with retention of up to four Pink salmon per day available to anglers with a Salmon Stamp on their freshwater license.
Port Alberni
Fishing in the Alberni Inlet is heating up, with Chinook making their way into the Inlet and a few Coho showing up as well. Polly Point to Lone Tree has been producing the best so far, with most fish being found in the top 70 feet of water.
Anchovies, Big Bubblegum Hoochies, 02 & 015 Hoochies, and white OAL12R Hoochies have been the top choices. Trolling speeds of 2.0–2.5 mph have been working well.
Down in Barkley Sound, fishing has really turned on over the past week. All the usual spots are producing, including Swale Rock, Kirby Point, Cape Beale, Sanford, Fleming Island, Diplock Island, and Pill Point, with Chinook up to 30 lbs being caught. There are also plenty of Coho around.
Small spoons, anchovies, and white Hoochies have been the top producers in Barkley Sound. A slightly faster trolling speed of 2.5–3.0 mph has been working best.
